MT-50 Product Tankers (8)

The shipyard is currently building a series of eight MT-50 class product tankers. The 183 m long, 50,000 deadweight vessels are designed to carry a variety and liquids from crude oil to chemicals. The vessels also incorporate a number of features that increase the fuel efficiency compared to prior tanker designs. The vessels are being constructed with consideration for the use of LNG for propulsion in the future and are the first tankers to receive the ABS LNG-Ready Level 1 approval in principal. The first vessel was delivered in September 2015.

3,600 TEU Container Vessels (2)

The shipyard is currently building two Aloha Class CV3600 containerships.  The 260 meter long containerships will be the largest Jones Act containerships ever constructed and will be able to operate at speeds in excess of 23 knots. The new vessels will also incorporate a number of ‘green ship technology’ features such as a fuel efficient hull design, dual fuel engines, and environmentally safe double hull fuel tanks and fresh water ballast systems.  The new vessels will be equipped with dual fuel engines that have liquefied natural gas (LNG) capability. The first vessel is expected to be delivered in 2018.
