At the plan announcement event, there were 64 alumni of PIDC’s Navy Yard Skills Initiative (NYSI) including two Philly Shipyard employees -- Matt Cabrera and Dustin Burton. Cabrera spoke at the event sharing his testament to the program.
Alongside officials from the City of Philadelphia and PIDC, Reps. Hoyer and Scanlon toured the Navy Yard, met with representatives from two key employers — Philly Shipyard, Inc. and Iovance Biotherapeutics, and discussed ongoing federal investments at the Navy Yard.
